Support Worker - McKellar
Saturday Mornings 07.00am - 09.30am OR Saturday Nights 20.15pm - 22.15pm
CPSN is seeking 2 people to support a mature male client with personal care needs in McKellar, ACT.
Available shifts are:
Saturday Mornings - 07.00-09.30 OR
Saturday Nights - 20.15-22.15
(Please note: Due to certain limitations with the SCHADs award, a single person cannot perform both of these shifts.)
Experience supporting clients with spinal cord injuries and/or cerebral palsy is a distinct advantage. Good communication skills, with the ability to follow visual or non-verbal cues is essential.

You will have experience with:
Bowel care
Catheter care
Manual handling
One-person transfers (from and into: bed, shower chair, walking frame, wheelchair and parallel bars).
Experience understanding someone with a significant speech impediment
